Spring Time By Rauya
Spring Time is the best time of the year! All the
snow and ice disappear! Oh it’s like music
. To my ears! The buds pop out like
popping popcorn. The baby animal’s get out of there mothers stomach.
. To see the new world. Like you were blind for a long time, and un
blinded by an operation. But soon
Spring
goes and comes the fun. Summer. As if you were dieing but finally a sigh of
relief because you are in heaven. Spring is happiness to everyone. A time when
things grow. In a blink of an eye it’s gone. Like your kids grow. Everyone
loves spring because it’s Easter Time! Springtime is the best time of the year.
Another word for it: Happiness.
Ahhh! A Fly!
“ Pass the punch please” I
said. I was thirsty. I was at home eating supper with my family. While my
mom was
pouring it, I was eating my broccoli. But what I didn’t know was that there was
a fly in my punch! I didn’t see it. I drank the punch. After supper, I went to
sleep. The next day I woke up feeling happy because it was a Saturday. I got
dressed and went downstairs for breakfast. My mom was getting dressed and my
dad was reading the newspaper.
What I learned this Week 9/4/04
By Rauya
This week I learned a lot in Language Arts, Math,
Science, and Social Studies. In Language Arts, I learned how the Native
Americans studied the stars in the new story called Circles, Squares, and
Daggers. We did a pre-write on which Native American Observatory was the best.
I learned a lot of new vocabulary words and spelling. Some of the spelling
words are frown, squint, assigned, and alphabet. Some of the vocabulary words
are astronomical, observatories, archaeoastronomy, and horizon. In math, I
learned how to make a line graph. I learned how to find the mean, median and
mode. I also learned how to make an x and y-axis and a word key. In science I
learned about the Solar System. We also learned about the importance about the
sun and mercury. We started to pick a guided question to. In social studies I
learned how the Pilgrims came to America. I learned a lot this week.

I learned a lot this week… 8/30/04
By:Rauya
I had learned a lot this week and I am going to tell you
what I learned. We learned new things about math, science, Language Arts, and
Social Studies. In math I learned how to multiply and divide decimals. We
learned about Factors and dividing 2 digit decimals. In Science I learned about
the circulatory system. We learned that the arteries bring blood from the
heart, squeeze through the capillaries and the veins bring blood to the heart.
In Language arts we started a new unit. We are reading a
story called Galileo. Galileo is the one who discovered that the Earth evolves
around the sun and Jupiter’s moons. The church forbade him to say such
“nonsense” or he would go to jail. We learned new vocabulary words and spelling
words. A new word to me is apparatus. But I soon found out that it means an
invention. In Social Studies I learned about John Cabot and Amerigo Vespucci.
They both were explores that wanted to go to the Indies. Amerigo wanted to go
there but he discovered it wasn’t the Indies, It was America so they named it
after Amerigo. That is what I learned this week.
